Prior to founding Boreal Ventures, David worked at BDC Capital where he helped manage a $135M early-stage venture fund. Before he joined BDC, David spent 4 years in management consulting and strategy at KPMG-SECOR, where he supported executives on investment decisions, strategic planning and post-merger integration.

Olivier joined Boreal Ventures' Investment team in 2021 and quickly rose to Principal for his skills in guiding investment decisions. He now spearheads strategic initiatives to position Boreal Ventures at the center of Canada's Deeptech ecosystem while also identifying the most promising companies with the potential to make significant societal impact.

Before joining Boreal Ventures, Olivier completed his studies in business administration at McGill University. He kickstarted his career at KPMG in the audit team, and later transitioned to the Transactional Services Strategy team. During this time, Olivier also co-founded the KPMG Ventures program, demonstrating his passion for nurturing startups and engaging with the Montreal startup community to foster innovation and growth.

Sam joined Boreal Ventures in 2021 as the fund was launching, and quickly became Vice President of Finance. His expertise in deal structuring, investor relations, and fund operations plays a pivotal role within the team, alongside his ability to foster strong relationships with portfolio companies. Before joining Boreal Ventures, he spent several years at KPMG, managing clients in various industries. Sam holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from HEC Montreal and a CPA designation.

Guillaume joined Boreal Ventures’ Team in May 2023 as a summer analyst. Prior to that, he completed his bachelor's degree in software engineering, where he cultivated his interest in the world of applied mathematics while also exploring how those solutions can impact the world through his minor in finance. Guillaume just finished a professional master's degree that he did to further explore the world of artificial intelligence and its intricacies, as well as how this field can help solve some of the hardest problems faced by society.
